The eve of 2012

This is our new tradition.

Our New Years tree complete with surprise filled balloons and noise makers.  We'll come back to the tree later.

Sam had a friend over, and Jill had a couple over.

Sam and her friend talking to each other... teenagers....

Jill and one of her friends waiting for the count down.

Watching the new year come in with people in Time Square in New York.

Even Max and Marlee celebrated with us.
Watching the ball drop in Time Square is always fun... in the comfort of our home where it's warm and the view is great.

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Now back to the tree...  our new tradition is the New Years tree.  I un-decorate the fake tree, fill balloons with small treasures such as money, and well wishes, tie the balloons to the tree, and add some other festive new years things.  At midnight the girls get to pop the balloons to collect their goodies.

Sam's using her mouth to be quieter because Miki had already fallen asleep.

Everyone in the house made it past midnight to greet 2012.  Some of the wishes the girls had in their balloons included; Come what may and love it; If life gives you lemons, make lavender lemonade; If all else fails kick the cat; Pray often; Laugh much; Dance like no one else is watching; and a total of 15 others that I can't remember.

Girls will be Girls

Jill and Kenzie are cousins.

Jill and Kenzie are friends.

Jill and Kenzie like to have crazy fun together.

I hope Jill and Kenzie never stop doing things that make me smile!
