The little things? The little moments? They aren't little.

Life in Full Swing

School has been in for about a month now- meaning life now has a schedule to the madness, rather than the free-for-all madness that summer brings.  With a daughter in each school, it's going to be an adventure.  Jill was a little nervous for middle school, but now that she's used to it she loves it.  I didn't get a picture of Sam on her first day because she leaves the house for drill in the wee hours of the morning and doesn't get home until later that night- depending on her work schedule.

The last little while has been fun with water fights...

... pushing boulders down the mountain side to see what animals would run out of the trees...

... switching to rock throwing...

... listening carefully to hear the animals run...

...skipping rocks ...

... finding frogs..

... just taking in life's simple pleasures.

We've also had the archery deer hunt

Enjoyed beautiful sunsets, mixed with a little lightening.

The girls make use of every out of school moment that they have.  This day they decided to make bubbles.  They had a blast mixing and letting the wind create the biggest bubbles ever.

The Royals are back in full swing.  This was the first dance of the season.

And, in the midst of it all... it's harvest time!!  Miki brought a cabbage plant home at the end of last school year to plant.  She was diligent in keeping the weeds away from it.

Her work paid off.  She harvested not one,

But TWO heads of cabbage from her little plant.

With fall in the air I'm looking forward to cooler weather, sweaters, pumpkins, leaves and all the things that fall brings our way.
